LET'S GET STARTED

Through the years we have streamlined our operations to ensure that the ordering process and client experience is the best it can be! While projects can range in complexity and time frame, the following is the typical SJM process.  We share this process up front because clear communication and setting proper expectations are important to us.

Step 1:

The ordering process begins when you contact SJM Agency with a project idea or need.  Discussing the following questions will help determine what product will best accomplish your goals.

1. Who will be receiving the product, a client, prospect or employee? How will it be distributed (handed out, mailed, etc)?
2. What is the purpose of the promotion or giving the product?
3. Do you have a particular color or theme in mind?
4. What are your imprinting needs, i.e. do you need it imprinted on multiple locations? How many colors will the logo be, is there a PMS match?
5. What quantity will you need?  When does the order need to be received?
6. What is your budget for the promotion?

If working with a new logo or design it is helpful to first see the art so we can ascertain the simplicity or complexity of imprinting needs and determine which product's imprint area will best work with the design.
Once we understand your project needs, we immediately begin researching products and solutions that will work best for you.  Our team will then contact you regarding ideas and will email you a detail presentation showing the recommended products including an image, description, pricing and imprinting details.  This process typically occurs within one to two days for projects that are not rush orders. We will call to follow up to answer any questions you may have.  Then we leave it up to you to decide!

Step 2:
When you have made your decision, call us and let us know what you need.  Vector artwork can be emailed to art@sjmagency.com if you have not done so already.  We will create an order acknowledgement and our graphics designers will fit your logo on the allowed area of your selected product(s).  We will then email you the acknowledgement and artwork proof for your approval.  Please critically review the art proof.  The proof serves as an accurate depiction of the product imprint.  If the artwork requires changes, our designers will make the necessary improvements and will email another proof. 
Once you are completely satisfied with the artwork, please sign both the acknowledgement and proof and return them to SJM.  We will place the order upon receiving these signed items.  
Important:  We cannot place an order until we have received the signed artwork proof and acknowledgement.

Step 3:
The SJM Agency Team will place your order after receiving the necessary paperwork.  Please be aware that changes to an order at this point are discouraged since the order is in process and production may have commenced.  Changes to an order that is in process could negatively effect your in-hands date and could result in an error.  If changes are required, there may be change or cancellation fees depending on the stage of production. 
To SJM, communication is key! We will keep you updated on the status of your order throughout the production process and will notify you when your order has shipped and again when delivered.  This communication process helps eliminate undue stress of worrying about your products meeting the deadline. We will follow up with a phone call to be sure that you are satisfied with the order.  In the rare instance that you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, it is important that you inform our team within 72 hours.   If not completely satisfied, we value the opportunity to make it right.
